Established in 1744, Sotheby's has been home to some of the most prestigious art and luxury around the world. A place where iconic history and prehaps a little bit of magic is made each and every day.

Sotheby's London house, neatly sat in the middle of New Bond Street, is filled with some of the world's most famous art pieces, ranging from modern and contemporary with the likes of Banksy, to selling the most elegant and refined jewellery on the market, from Cartier to Van Cleef & Arpels.

Around 28 years ago, Sotheby's opened their in-house restaurant, a place to relax and enjoy luxury hospitality whilst visiting the artwork. Sotheby's have quite simply captured the essence of timeless elegance and quiet luxury through their restaurant's subtle yet somehow bold decor.

Although not my first time at this art house, it was my first time dining in their restaurant. Scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and sliced toasted brioche, with a glass of fresh orange juice, hot oven baked pastries and a pot of tea, was a perfect start to my morning.

Sotheby's expression of style and design, transmits its electrifyingly elegant energy, echoeing through its history, creating an emotion that transports you to another world. Sotheby's portrays the power of art through private sales, events and auctions, continuing to raise the bar for the luxury art and fashion industrys. Throughout summer, the entrance is lined with large olive trees, and during winter the magical sparkly displays arrive for Christmas.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, brunch and light lunch offering small and larger plates, from roasted cauliflower soup, caesar salads, line caught mackeral and saffron mayonnaise or the Sotheby's lobster club sandwich.

As well as the restaurant, Sotheby's also has a small cafe, on the corner at St. George Street, serving barista coffees and pastrys. Decorated and designed as an art project in itself, perfect for the quick bite to eat or coffee on the go.
